Agnetha Ase Faltskog was born on 5th April 1950 in Jonkoping in Sweden. At 15, she performed with the Bernt Enghardt band for two years. She then broke up with Bjorn Lilja who was then just her boyfriend. Her first album was released by Cupol entitled Agnetha Faltskog. In 1969, Agnetha released her new single in sweden called Zigenarvan, which long after that, the Swedish were in a debate over gypsies living there, accusing Agnetha of eploitation.

Then she met Dieter Zimmerman, they engaged, but it was only short lived.

In 1969 Agnetha had a place in history as one of Sweden’s leading female vocalists. In the same year she met the man of her dreams, Bjorn Ulvaeus, beginning the collaboration of 4 wonderfully talented people, Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida) and Benny Andersson. They then had their first plans on ABBA.

Bjorn and Benny wrote the songs after leaving their respective bands. By then the personal lives of ABBA started to take shape. Benny got attracted to Frida and they both got engaged. Two months later Agnetha and Bjorn did the same. It was only a matter of time before they began performing together as a group.
